About Foliage Paradise
NYCβs Premier Orchids, Plant and Tree Specialists
Foliage Paradise is a plant nursery in New York, New York. It is listed at 113 W 28th St, New York, NY 10001, which places it among the local businesses of New York that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Awful customer service. We bought an $800 tree from them, only to find out the pot they sold us does not have a drainage hole and was drowning our plant. They did nothing to help us. Worst store in the plant district.

Absolutely deserving of five stars βββββ Foliage Paradise is, hands down, the only place I buy my plants and orchids in NYC, and for good reason. The quality is consistently unmatched. Every plant Iβve purchased has been healthy, vibrant, and clearly cared for by people who genuinely know what theyβre doing. The staff are by far the most knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly in the Flower District (and honestly, all of NYC). They take the time to answer questions, make thoughtful recommendations, and ensure you leave with exactly what you need to keep the plants alive and healthy. Their orchids, in particular, are always stunning and long-lasting. You can tell this is a place run with expertise and passion. If youβre looking for the best plants, the best advice, and the best experience in NYC, Foliage Paradise is it. I refuse to go anywhere else but here now. πΏβ¨

Prices arenβt set, so itβs worth haggling. If you are planning on delivery, donβt expect them to actually place your plant in the right spot. If you purchase a planter from them, they do not actually transplant your purchase. Instead they just slot the plastic pot into the planter. Not worth the money and plant health is shockingly low. I would recommend ordering plants online over using this or any other 28th street location. Also they didnβt clean the leaves off as promised.

Foliage Paradise always treats me well with the finest succulents, orchids and house plants! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as theyβll pot your plants in amazing sand or rocksβ¦ just bring in your vases or pots. Theyβre truly artists! Highly recommend! Iβve been coming here for years and the crew is top notch. Theyβre my go-to in the flower district.
